Bachelor's Degrees

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) programs provide preparation for registered nursing practice. The curriculum is composed of both didactic and clinical components and includes a sequence of courses in nursing theory and in the liberal arts and sciences.

The curriculum blends scientific and humanistic theories with nursing theories to provide graduates with a foundation for professional nursing practice. The B.S.N. program is designed to provide a foundation for higher degree programs in nursing. Faculty members hold doctoral or master's degrees, and many are certified within their individual areas of specialty. Members of the faculty continue to practice in healthcare and participate in research and other scholarly endeavors.

Depending on where you are now in your studies or career or where you want to go, there are two bachelor programs to choose from to help you meet your needs:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing for 2nd Degree students (A.B.S.N. - Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Graduates of the BSN programs are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-RN exam for licensure as a registered nurse.
